Peyote stitch bracelet

Here is a picture of two peyote stitch bracelet's I have made using a triangle pattern. I love the triangle pattern because it is pretty and effective, a good pattern to start with if you are new to peyote stitch. The smaller one is 6 beads in width, and the larger one is 10 beads in width. I always use even count of beads when doing the peyote stitch, I find doing an odd count just unnecessary and not worth the effort.

Please note the bottom one is a bit rough, because I made it when I was still getting use to peyote stitch, the top one is a lot tighter and there is no small gaps.

John-James Pebble needles

The best beading needle I have found to use are the John-James pebble beading needles. I have pretty rough with needles, forcing them through small holes and gaps, and 9 time out of 10 my needles are warped after the first use. But they last, and I don't blame them when the finally do break because of what I put them through. Not to mention the little 'pebble' they come in is so cute and handy to store, no needle running all over the place!!

Peyote stitch pen pattern 5

Here is another pen I have made using the tubular peyote stitch. It's even more simple then any other pattern I have done previously.

Bejeweler Pro down under

I have show some masks that I have mad using flat back swarovski crystals. But the best thing to use is hotfix crystals, because then you can use a bejeweler pro to stick them on for you! I bought one a couple of months ago and now there is no turing back! I love it!

Peyote stitch pen pattern 4

This is also one of the first ones I made. Its a really simple patterns, just alternate colours for each row. You can only two this patterns because of the 22 beads that go around, any more then 2 colours and the pattern would be even.

Here it is:

Peyote stitch pen pattern 3

This was the first tubular peyote stitch pen that I ever made. It uses 11 different colours going in a spiral direction. The reason it uses 11 different colours is that there is 22 beads that go around the pen. So if I want that patterns to make the spiral pattern(e.g. make sure the lines meet up) I can only use 11 or 2 colours. Hope that makes sense.

Beaded Beads

Using the peyote stitch I also like to make beads. I do a very small flat peyote stitch and sew the two ends together to make a bead. The beads below are make with miyuki beads for them because they give a more even result, but you could use any type of small seed bead. They are 6x6 beads. They are great for making braclets and necklaces.

Here are some I have made:
